Lewiston – Bernadette D. Guerin, 91, a former resident of Livermore Falls, died Friday, June 23, at Marshwood Nursing Home, where she had resided for two years.
She was born on March 9, 1915, in Lewiston, the daughter of Hermenigilde and Caroline (Levesque) Drouin and attended the schools of Jackman and the Sacred Heart Convent.
On Sept. 26, 1959, she married Norman Guerin of Livermore Falls at Saints Peter and Paul Basilica in Lewiston. He passed away on Oct. 9, 1981.
She had worked at Livermore Shoe Co. in Livermore Falls. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary; Daughters of Isabella, Amvets 200 Club and the BPW.
She had also been a volunteer at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. She looked forward to the time she spent with the girls.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Wilkins and her husband, Craig, of Apex, N.C.; a son, Gary Guerin, also of Apex, N.C.; a sister, Irene Perry of Auburn; a brother, Gerard Drouin of Enfield, Conn.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
