PORTLAND (AP) – Adam Lind knocked a tie-breaking three-run homer, leading the New Hampshire Fisher Cats past the Portland Sea Dogs 4-2 Friday in the Eastern League.
Devern Hansack pitched six shutout innings for Portland and Jeremy West and Brandon Moss continued their offensive barrage.
Following two scoreless innings, Moss’ RBI double gave Portland (43-27) a 1-0 lead in the third.
The Fisher Cats (33-39) scored all their runs in the seventh off Portland reliever Randy Beam (2-2). After New Hampshire tied it with one run on singles by Chip Cannon, Manny Mayorson and Dustin Majewski, Lind cleared the bases when he lofted Beam’s first pitch over the right-field fences.
West doubled and scored Portland’s second run in the bottom of the eighth. New Hampshire starter Kurt Isenberg (3-8) gave up one run over six innings to earn the win.
