PORTLAND (AP) – Brandon Moss hit a home run and the Portland Sea Dogs capitalized on three errors to beat the New Hampshire Fisher Cats 4-2 on Saturday night.
The Sea Dogs grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first inning as Moss hit a line drive into the right-field grandstand.
New Hampshire tied it when Eric Arnold doubled and scored in the fifth, but the Sea Dogs went ahead again with a run in the bottom of the inning. Arnold’s RBI single tied it 2-2 in the sixth. Zach Borowiak doubled and scored the winning run in the seventh on Chip Cannon’s error.
Bryan Pritz, who reached on the error, moved up on a single and scored when Arnold muffed Jeremy West’s grounder.
Edgar Martinez (2-3) threw two innings of relief without giving up a hit for the win. Mike Bumatay got the lost two outs for his second save.
Brian Wolfe (0-2) gave up two hits and two runs in two-thirds of an inning for the loss.
