PORTLAND (AP) – Chip Cannon’s bases-loaded double was the key hit as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats rallied from behind and scored four times to beat the Portland Sea Dogs 4-1 Sunday in the Eastern League.

The Sea Dogs (44-28) took a 1-0 lead when Bryan Pritz doubled and scored in the first inning. Portland starter Frank Brooks pitched five shutout innings, but the Fisher Cats (34-40) scored four runs off reliever Jonathan Searles (3-3) in the sixth.

After New Hampshire tied it on two singles and a walk, Searles hit a batter to load the bases.

Two runs scored when Cannon’s sharp grounder down the first base line hit the bag and caromed into right field. John Schneider’s sacrifice fly made it 4-1.

David Purcey (2-0) struck out four and walked none over five innings to earn the win.
