LEWISTON – Flora M. Proctor, 89, died Monday, June 26, at d’Youville Pavilion after a short illness. She had previously resided at the Chapman House in Auburn for the past four years.

She was born July 18, 1916, in Lewiston, the daughter of Ernest and E. Beatrice (Robinson) Morrison. She married George Blackstone on Aug. 29, 1942, and he died in 1953. She later married Lewis Proctor on July 20, 1957, at Danville, where she resided for many years, until moving to Auburn. She was employed in local shoe shops and mills and also worked at Cummings Cleaners.

She leaves her nieces, Connie Farrar of Monmouth and Brenda Greenleaf and her husband, Reggie of Buckfield.

She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Gladys Rowbotham; and a great-nephew, Bruce. She will be sadly missed by her good friend, Rosemary Morrison, who looked after her for many years.

Thank you to the dedicated and caring staff at Chapman House who made her life enjoyable and to the caring staff at d’Youville in her final days.
