KENNEBUNK – Joseph G. Halle, 85, died Thursday, June 22, at his home.
He was born March 1, 1921, in Jay, the son of Onesime and Valentine LaPierre Halle and was educated in Salem, Mass. He graduated from Salem High School with the Class of 1941.
He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II, where he attended pilot training school. On Jan. 25, 1975, he married Theresa Lambert Beauregard at St. Stanislaus Church in Ipswich, Mass.
He was a flight instructor at Beverly Airport in Massachusetts for five years. He was also employed as a bush pilot in Greenville and served with the Army National Guard in Salem, Mass. He worked for 20 years as an air traffic controller, serving Boston’s Logan Airport and also the Nashua Air Traffic Control.
He was a member of St. Martha’s Church and enjoyed reading.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Theresa Halle of Kennebunk; three sons, Ronald P. Beauregard and his wife, Agnes, of Sealy, Texas, Andy P. Beauregard and his wife, Gail, of Bennington, Vt. and Richard F. Beauregard and his wife, Cathy, of Shreveport, La.; three sisters, Marie Anne Jeffery of Salem, Mass., Muguette McClenahan and her husband, William, of Lancaster, Ohio and Muriel Chiachia and her husband, Daniel, of Nashua, N.H.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters.
