LEWISTON – Marie L. Pepin, 84, of College Street, died Sunday, June 25, at Montello Manor, after a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston, on July 24, 1921, the daughter of George and Elsie (Blanchet) Marcoux. She was educated in Lewiston schools.

She was a CNA at St. Mary’s Hospital and Marcotte Nursing Home for more than 20 years. She married Dominic Pepin on July 11, 1942, in Indiantowngap, Pa. He passed away on May 25, 1991. She enjoyed crocheting and was very devoted to her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Elise Pepin of Lewiston; four sons, Roger and his wife, Pauline Pepin, of Lewiston, Laurier and his wife, Lorraine Pepin, of Lewiston, Richard Pepin of Lewiston and Marc and his wife, Bonnie Pepin, of Buckfield; two brothers, Donald and Richard Paradis, both of Lewiston; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Maxime and Wilfred Marcoux; and a sister, Antoinette Begin.

The family would like to thank the staff at Montello Manor for their excellent care and compassion during our mother’s illness.
