GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Roger Roland Ouellette, 64, of Great Falls, Mont., a retired Air Force master sergeant, died of complications from lung cancer on June 16.
He was born in Lewiston, June 1, 1942, son of Roland and Irene Bouffard Ouellette. A 1960 graduate of LHS, he completed a bachelor’s degree in vocational educational studies and a master’s degree in counseling services.
He entered the U.S. Air Force in May of 1961 at Lackland AFB in Texas. He was decorated in Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Belgium and England in the ground radio communications field and retired in 1983, after 22 years of honorable service.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marcia (Bleskin) of Great Falls, Mont.; three sons, Lt. Cmdr. James and wife, Allison, of Spokane, Wash., Lt. Cmdr. Roger Jr. and wife, Cindie, of Shreveport, La. and Cmdr. Greg and wife, Kristi, of Norfolk, Va.; seven grandchildren; sisters, Connie and Jack Hildreth of Yarmouth and Claudette and Loring Kydd of Deer Isle; and brothers, Conrad and Carol of Greeley, Colo., Mickey and Carol of Billerica, Mass. and Ronald and Valerie of Lewiston.
