LEWISTON – Ste. Croix Regional Federal Credit Union hosted a reception on June 12 to present books to Androscoggin County public elementary school librarians.

Longley; Katie House, Martel; Denise Morin, Montello; Nancy Theriault, Pettingill; Laurie Pinkham, Fairview; Susan Pease, Lake Street; Kim Strout, Sherwood Heights; Nancy Morrow, Walton; Dawn Wise, Webster; Gina Moulton, Minot Consolidated; Deborah Ullman, Lisbon Community; Karen White, Durham; Audrey Walker, Wales Central; and Jennifer Wilcox, Greene Central.
Ste. Croix President Vicki Stuart said, “Books for Kids is Ste. Croix’s signature community project. We’re proud of the impact this program has on the children in Androscoggin County. This program has been recognized in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 with the Dora Maxwell Award in recognition of outstanding achievement in a social responsibility program.”
Stuart said the credit union has been active in the Lewiston-Auburn communities for years and this is Ste. Croix’s fifth year of donating books to Androscoggin County public schools. She added, “Credit unions are about helping people and helping our children is an important part of that philosophy.”
