LEBANON – Garry F. Brown, 61, of Lebanon died Wednesday, June 28, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Brunswick, on Feb. 2, 1945, the son of Lenwood Sr. and Sylvia (Toothaker) Brown. He attended Brunswick and Harpswell schools, and as a young man he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Germany for more than two years until his honorable discharge in 1966.

He was a master mechanic. For many years he worked at Tuffcoat, and Sears automotive. He was a member of the American Legion and loved to go camping, fishing, four-wheeling, or build model planes.

He was a loving and caring man with a great sense of humor. He especially enjoyed family time with his wife, daughter, and grandchildren. He was also a member of the Second Baptist Church of Lebanon.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Virginia (Perkins) Brown of Lebanon; a daughter, Lisa Keen and her husband, Kevin, of Lebanon; two stepchildren, Patricia Staples and her husband, Charlie, of Phippsburg and Jamie Gilman of Phippsburg; four grandchildren, Amanda Brown-Braswell and her husband, Michael, Timothy Keen, Brandyn Keen and Krystal Keen; two stepgrandchildren, Wesley Staples and Brandy Staples; four sisters, Marion Owen, Christi Gilliam, Kathy Brown and Susie Walker; four brothers, Sterling Brown, Lenwood Brown Jr., Timothy Brown and Peter Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
