LEWISTON – The Jesus Party paid respect to the Red, White and Blue as part of the Flag Day observance recently. The festivities opened with Jesus Party patriotic mentor Jerry DerBoghosian leading the children in saying the “Pledge of Allegiance,” followed by patriotic favorites such as “God Bless America,” “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “Grand Old Flag.”

The children watched a video on the making of the flag and the changes that it has seen throughout the years. All children who attended received their own American flag.
