AUBURN – William “Bill” Bradbury, newly elected commander at the Capt. Frank W. Hulett VFW Post on Minot Avenue, was appointed state Americanism and Loyalty Day chairman and put in for national recruiter by newly elected State Commander Thomas R. Lussier of Portland.

Bradbury, 45, is one of the youngest post commanders at the Auburn VFW in quite a few years. He was awarded the Navy Expeditionary Medal while serving in Iran. He has also recently moved to Lewiston from the Livermore Falls area and will be married Aug. 5 at the Auburn VFW.

Bradbury served the past year as VFW District 9 commander, which consists of Auburn, Rumford, Jay, Lewiston, Lisbon, South Paris and Greene. He invites veterans to join the VFW. For more information, contact Arthur J. Roy at 784-6883 or [email protected].
