The basketball court in Kennedy Park should not be getting turned into a skate park. I really feel this is going to be a disaster. There is no reason why the basketball court should be taken down to be replaced by the skate park, something a select group of people can benefit from.

Many kids look forward to playing ball on that court. Replacing the basketball court is only going to cause friction between many of the young ones, and create unnecessary drama. In my opinion, more of the kids are going to get themselves into trouble by not having basketball to keep them busy. Who is the skate park really benefiting?

The skaters in this town have gone this long having no skate park, so they should be able to wait a little longer to find a better location. There is plenty of untouched ground on Kennedy Park to locate the skate part at.

I think the city council should have thought this through a little better. Maybe the skate park might not be there right now.

I think the city should replace the basketball courts with the same number of courts that were there before.
