NORWAY – Beryl R. Waisanen, 77, of Main Street, Oxford, died Sunday, July 2, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Lewiston, Nov. 21, 1928, the daughter of John and Norine Rogers Ring. She graduated from West Paris High School in the class of 1948. She had been employed at Penley’s Mill, as a cook at Ledgeview Nursing Home and then babysitting. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her children, Carlene Montminy of Oxford, Fayes Estes and her husband, Ricky, of Oxford, William Waisanen and his wife, Cindy, of Wisconsin and Jolene Waisanen of Connecticut; a brother, Durwood Ring of New Hampshire; a twin sister, Sheryl Waisanen of West Paris; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Toivo Waisanen in 1991.
