CARTHAGE – Edward E. Girardin, 65, of Carthage, died Tuesday, July 4, at his home.

He was born, July 22, 1940, in Carthage, a son of George and Ellen (Webster) Girardin. He was educated in Dixfield schools.

On Nov. 12, 1960, he married, Janice Vining in Weld.

He worked the majority of his life in the local shoe factories and was employed at G.H. Bass at the time of its closing.

He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and scratch tickets.

He is survived by his wife, Janice of Carthage; two sons, Ronald Girardin of Carthage and David Girardin of Natick, Mass.; two half-sisters, Olive Gardner and Mildred Gordon, both of Wilton.

He was predeceased by a son, Ricky Girardin; and a daughter, Joline Girardin.
