LITCHFIELD – Elaine V. Bosse, 67, died at her home in Litchfield, surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Lewiston on Pleasant Street on Oct. 5, 1938, the daughter of Armand “Sam” and Rose Evelyn (Gagne) Cote.
She was a graduate from Lewiston High School, Class of 1956. She married Normand C. Bosse in 1957, and raised five children. She will be sadly missed by all.
She held numerous secretarial positions throughout her working career. In 1980, she and her loving husband bought and operated the Dresden Texaco.
She was a parish member of Our Lady of the Rosary in Sabattus.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Normand C. Bosse whom she married on Sept. 2, 1957, of Litchfield; four daughters, Louise Harrington and her husband, Douglas, of Dresden, Rachel Bosse and Michelle Taylor, of South China, Monique McRae and her husband, Peter, of Wiscasset and Christine Jones and her husband, Robert G. “Babe,” of Dresden; one son, Marc Bosse and his wife, Melissa, of Dresen; five grandchildren, Matthew and Heather McRae, Sara Bosse, Ezra and Ian Jones; three step-grandchildren, Ross and Ryan Harrington and Angie Jordan; brothers and sisters, Armand Cote and his wife, Madeline, of Lisbon Falls, Betty Clukey and her husband, Richard, of Mechanic Falls, Constance Crump and her husband, Marvin, of Monmouth, Donald Cote and his companion, Gabriel, of Sabattus, her twin sister, Evelyn Deblois and her husband, Edgar, of Greene, Francis Cote and his wife, Laurie, of Minot; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Felix Cote in 1968.
The family of Elaine Bosse wishes to thank Dr. Moderassi and his staff in the Oncology Department at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, for the compassion and care that they provided for not only Elaine but her entire family. Also, a special thanks to the Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for the wonderful care that was provided.
