BETHEL – The Bethel Planning Board will conduct a site walk and a public hearing on a site plan application for a Verizon Wireless Telecommunications Tower.

The site walk will take place at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, off Swan Hill. The public hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, at the Town Office.

The applicant, Verizon Wireless, is proposing to erect a 140-foot-high wireless telecommunications tower. The tower will be in the center of a 75-foot-square compound surrounded an 8-foot chain-link fence. Access will be provided by a private driveway. The tower will not be lit.
