AUBURN – The Penley Corner Church, Riverside Drive, will hold its annual all-faith service at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 9. The Rev. E. Richard Wrentzel, pastor of visitations at the Turner Village Church, will be the guest minister.
Wrentzel was ordained to the gospel ministry in 1961. He received his bachelor of arts degree from the King’s College in New York and his master of divinity degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Wenham, Mass.
He has led six tours to the Holy Land and was pastor of churches in Massachusetts, New York, Maine and Connecticut. He has also served a number of churches in Maine as interim pastor.
Wrentzel has been married to Mary Grant Wrentzel for 49 years and they reside in Turner. He is a native of Reading, Pa. The Wrentzels have two children, Stephen Wrentzel, a firefighter in Lewiston, and a daughter, Elaine Wrentzel, deceased.
All are invited to the service and for refreshments and fellowship at the Sylvester home, located across the street at 1128 Riverside Drive.
