PARIS – Children visiting the Paris Public Library this summer may play “Deal or No Deal: the Library Edition.”
All the library’s children’s books have been assigned secret random point values, which may be redeemed for prizes when read. A child may select up to three books to read for a single round of play, adding together the books’ individual point before claiming their prize.
Completing a book review form doubles the points earned for a book. Points may range from 1 to 10,000, but the highest point books are included in the library’s special “Deal or No Deal” collection.
Prizes include toys, food, movie, bowling and book coupons or certificates, with the higher points winning the bigger prizes. Those readers who earn more than 20,000 points are entered into a drawing for a $100 savings bond.
Contestants may only win three prizes over the summer, so if they wish to try for one of the bigger prizes, they must say “No Deal,” and try again. For more information, contact the Paris Public Library at 743-6994 or e-mail [email protected].
