LEWISTON – Lloyd E. Farren Jr., 74, formerly of Mexico and Rumford, died Wednesday, July 5, in a Lewiston nursing home after a long illness.

He was born in Rumford Corner on July 20, 1931, a son of Lena Marston and Lloyd E. Farren Sr.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1950.

He was a barber all his life, working in Rumford, Lewiston and Groton, Conn.

Lloyd was a selftaught carpenter and enjoyed fixing things around his house.

Surviving are two sisters, Doris Woodard of Mystic, Conn., and Elva Woodard of Colebrook, N.H.

He was predeceased by a sister, Lillian Tyler.
