Last Year: Poulin defeated Ricky Jones, the 2003 and 2004 winner, 2-and-1 to capture the title in match play. Poulin also upended Joe Alvarez, James Frost, Jr. and Nate Nealy in match play. Poulin was in match play as the No. 12 seed.

Fun fact: Other than Poulin, Mark Plummer and Ricky Jones are the only two golfers to win a Maine Amateur title this decade.
