AUBURN – Clara M. Guerriero, 91, formerly of 12 Goulet St., Lewiston, passed away quietly on Saturday, July 8, at the Chapman House.
She was born in Newark, N.J., on Jan. 12, 1915, daughter of Pietro and Angelina Rubortillo Russo. She was married to John Guerriero on Aug. 27, 1944. They were blessed with 40 years of marriage until his passing in 1984.
A member of St. Patrick’s Parish and the Sons of Italy, she was a talented seamstress, and for many years worked at home making doll clothes. Clara also enjoyed cooking authentic Italian food for her family and friends, and everyone especially enjoyed her homemade pizza.
She is survived by her son, Frederick Guerriero of Arizona; two daughters, Angelina and husband, Richard Blais, of Turner, and Marlene and husband, Richard King, of Old Orchard; three grandchildren, Beau and wife, Laura Blais, of Turner, Jason Guerriero of Arizona, and Kelly Guerriero of Arizona; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jayden Blais of Turner and Makayla Guerriero of Arizona.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Chapman House for the loving care they gave Clara.
