LEWISTON – Elianne C. Aube, 84, of Hogan Road, died Saturday, July 8, at Russell Park Nursing Home, with her family by her side.

Born in Lewiston on June 6, 1922, a daughter of the late Odias and Rose-Anne (Gosselin) Chouinard. Elianne married Norman Aube Sr. on July 6, 1946. He died on Jan. 21, 1975.

She worked in the textile industry for local mills and was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

Upon her retirement, she enjoyed knitting, sewing blankets for her grandchildren and nature. Feeding and watching her birds and squirrels was the highlight of her day. She will be sadly missed by her beloved cat, “LaMin” Mittens.

She leaves three daughters, Theresa Leblanc and husband, Conrad, Lucie St. Pierre and companion, Robert Smith, and Jackie Hamel and husband, Normand, three sons, Norman Aube Jr. and wife, Kathy, Maurice Aube and Paul Aube, all of Lewiston; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was predeceased by two daughters, Susan and Pauline Aube; and her eight brothers and sisters.
