NEPTUNE CITY, N.J. – James Martelli, 88, died July 5, at Medi Center.
He was born on Aug. 21, 1917, in Asbury Park, N.J., and lived his life in the shore area.
He served in World War II in the U.S. Army and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Asbury Park, N.J.
He was a truck driver for the Jersey Coast News Co. in Asbury Park, N.J.
Survivors include a son, Stephen Martelli of Auburn; a brother, Jules Martelli of Neptune, N.J.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
