SOUTH PARIS – Adam Lutz pitched five innings of three-hit baseball and smacked a pair of singles as New Auburn rolled over Bessey Motors 17-4 in American Legion baseball Monday.

New Auburn banged out 18 hits off five Bessey pitchers in the game, including 10 in a 10-run second inning.

John Alexander hit a two-run single in the decisive inning. David Lutz had a pair of doubles, and Kyle Bussiere slugged a double and a triple for New Auburn (10-1).

Alexander finished the game with three hits and three RBIs. Adam Lutz improved to 2-1 with the victory.

Russ Estes smacked a triple for Bessey (4-7), and Chris Roy and Mark Henderson each hit doubles. Starting pitcher Ben Goodall was tagged with the loss (1-1).
