FARMINGTON – Two men were severely injured Monday in a one-vehicle accident on Bailey Hill. Police are looking into alcohol and speed as being factors in the crash.

The accident was reported at 4:47 p.m. Little information was available from Farmington police on Monday night.

Police Detective Marc Bowering said the men’s Chevy pickup was headed uphill when it went off the road on the right side, traveled through a ditch and came to rest with its nose in the ditch.

He said one man was airlifted by LifeFlight to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. The other man was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital then subsequently taken to the Lewiston hospital.

Police wouldn’t release the men’s names Monday night.

An accident reconstruction specialist with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and police officer Matt Brann are investigating the accident.
