RANGELEY – Mac Dudley will be offering her Olympic-style archery lessons for youth and adults at the Rangeley Region Guides and Sportsmen’s Club Tuesday through Friday, July 25 to 28. Times will be 1 to 3 p.m. for youths and 4 to 6 p.m. for adults. All equipment will be provided.

In previous years, lessons were split over two weeks – one in July and one in August. Many families were here in one month or the other so the kids missed half of the lessons. She hopes the annual July-only program will work out better for the kids and adults.

The four-day program will cost $25 and can be paid at either the Rangeley Town Office or at the club the day of the first class.

Dudley also offers private lessons in Olympic and bowhunting archery for a fee. An informal Sunday shoot will be available when she will offer advice on shooting form at the club’s target area and 3-D range.

She will also provide bowhunter and crossbow safety certification classes. The safety classes will occur from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 29, and 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, July 30. Crossbow certification will follow from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, July 30.

People desiring the crossbow course must have a bowhunter safety certification. The bowhunter safety course cost $25 and the crossbow course is $20. For more information, call Dudley at 864-5919 or e-mail [email protected].

Dudley is also a licensed registered Maine guide. Contact her for details.
