SALEM, N.H. (AP) – The government is suing the owner of a Salem firm as it tries to restore money to the employees’ profit sharing plan.
The U.S. Labor Department alleges Richard Landry, owner of Landry Architects, did not properly monitor financial companies that raided his company’s investment plan. The owner of the companies was convicted of stealing more than half million dollars from the funds.
The Labor Department lawsuit asks a judge to order Landry to restore the lost money, ban him from managing any other employees plans and appoint an independent trustee to manage his company plan.
