FARMINGTON – Alden B. Pratt, 90, of East Livermore, passed away peacefully, early Wednesday, July 12, at the Sandy River Center for Health Care.

He was born, Feb. 20, 1916, in East Livermore, the son of Warren and Alva (Alden) Pratt.

He worked in the Otis Paper Mill and International Paper Co. for more than 40 years. He served with the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was a member of the Oriental Star Lodge in Livermore Falls and member of the Grange.

On, July 11, 1987, he married Francelina Amorim Hewins at his farm in East Livermore.

He loved books on Maine history, Civil War, and genealogy, but most of all gardening. He was able to plant one more garden before he fell ill.

He is survived by his loving wife, Francelina; four children, Richard of China, Ann of Florida, Louise of Georgia and Tom of Alaska; five step-children, Roger of East Corinth, Lynn of Monmouth, Lydia of Windham, Greg of Florida and Brenda of Exeter; several other family members including grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

He was predeceased by a step-son, Louis “Sonny.”
