TURNER – Clifton C. Nadeau, 63, of Turner, passed away unexpectedly on July 11, while tending his garden.

He was born on Aug. 7, 1942, in Lewiston, the son of Myrtie Nadeau Gosselin of Standish. Cliff graduated from Leavitt Institute in Turner and received his apprenticeship certificate in plumbing and heating and journeyman’s license from CMVTI in Auburn.

He had been employed through Local 783 and 716 Pipefitters and Steamfitters Association for the past 41 years, until his recent retirement.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed numerous hunting and fishing trips with family and friends. Recently he spent much of his time making improvements on their cottage on Bear Pond and taking his wife of 43 years, Priscilla, and family members for sunset pontoon cruises after cooking outside.

He maximized every single day of his life with his never-ending project list, loving his family and the great outdoors. He always knew the key to happiness was surrounding himself with family and showing his love every day.

He is survived by his wife, Priscilla of Turner; his mother, Myrtie Gosselin of Standish; brothers, Adrian Gosselin of Crooked Island, S.C. and Robert Gosselin of Standish; and his four children and their families, daughter, Heidi Naylor and her husband, Mick and their children, Ashley, Alexandra and Brock of Turner, daughter, Heather Nadeau and her husband, Stan Waite and their children, Caela and Kristen of Turner, son, Greg Nadeau and his wife, Nycole and their children, Tyler and Colby of Brunswick and daughter, Gretchen Bellegarde and husband, Gary and their daughter, Eliza (who called him “Bumpa”) of Turner.

He was predeceased by his grandmother, Clara Billings; beloved aunt, Jeannette Thompson; his stepfather, Adrian Gosselin Sr.; and sister-in-law, Lois Gosselin.
