Available roles in “The Nerd,”to be presented Oct. 2 – 29, follow:
Willum: 34. An infuriatingly “nice” guy who can’t say no. Likable, smart, and cute; a great comic straight man.
Tansy: Late 20s-early 30s. Willum’s girlfriend. Cute as a bug, sweet, and inherently funny; a weather girl with aspirations of moving to a bigger weather station.
Axel: 30s-early 40s. A smart aleck sidekick who believes he’s sharper then everyone else; yet still likable and deep down a good guy. Gets lots of comic zingers. Similar in type to either Bill Murray, or the character of Chandler from Friends.
Waldgrave: 40s. A gruff, opinionated, strong willed, successful businessman. Comically foiled by others in a Ralph Cramden kind of way.
Clelia: late 30s-40s. She has the personality of an overly kind and sweet kindergarten teacher who is always searching for the positive, except when she’s breaking plates to relieve her stress. Similar in type to Georgette from the Mary Tyler Moore show.
Available roles in “A Christmas Carol,” to be presented Nov. 27 – Dec, 10, follow:
Scrooge: mid-40s – early 50s. Commanding presence. He has a wicked sense of humor and enjoys the fear he instills in others. Good with language. Capable of carrying off Scrooge’s emotional transformation. British dialect.
Belle: attractive young woman, 20s-early 30s, earnest, loving. Must have a sense of humor and the ability to play multiple roles and handle narration.
