While I am a little flattered at the implication that Chandler Woodcock got a “boost” from the Maine Jeremiah Project or from my personal efforts, I am afraid it is an exaggeration (June 29). My role was no different from the hundreds of people who volunteered to give up a little time between jobs and other activities.

The truth is that Chandler Woodcock won the election because he is a fine candidate with a message that Mainers relate to. He is a good man. He will be an excellent governor.

I must add that I am still puzzled by the funny little graphic on page A6 with the boxes and arrows and pictures.

Was there a point to that? I tried to follow the logic, but the arrows did not connect very well.
