I must disagree with Diana Cundy (July 10). The Palestinians have been killing the Israelites for years – terrorist suicide bombings of restaurants, buses, etc. How many Jews have been injured or killed in the past 25 years?

Look at it this way, when the Palestinians gained possession of the Gaza, the U.S. gave them $30 million to help improve schools, industries, small businesses, and establish a new government. With that money they bought weapons and ammunition from Egypt. They destroyed greenhouses and paraded in the streets yelling “Kill all the Jews.”

The Hamas have been bombing the Jewish settlements ever since they took possession of the Gaza. How long would Cundy endure bombs flying in and over her town? In her back yard?

Palestinians killed a teenager and kidnapped an Israeli soldier. Isn’t that enough?

All they have to do is return the soldier, unharmed.

God gave the Jews Israel, and God made it clear they were not to divide or give part of it away. Sharon gave the Gaza to the Palestinians when President Bush insisted, with his road map to peace, for that to happen. Sharon then went into a coma and 9,000 Jewish families were displaced and lost everything. Then Katrina happened and New Orleans also had 9,000 families displaced and lost everything.

Coincidence?

I doubt it.
