I am so sick of hearing about how gas prices in other industrialized countries are so much higher than here. We are very lucky, so government officials say. However, those same officials do not mention that this country is the only industrialized nation that does not have national health insurance for everyone. That is why other countries pay so much for gas – it’s added tax that raises their gas prices. Take off all those taxes and the price would be pretty much equal to what we pay here.
In Canada, motorists pay $1.189 per liter (there are about 5 liters to a gallon of gas). Of course, Canadians who live near the border come across to fill up. I would, too. Then they do not pay that high tax. Gas companies and the U.S. government officials should tell it like it is.
As for drug companies, I believe most of our drug companies manufacture the drugs in Indonesia, Ireland, England and other countries.
The oil, drug and other corporations run this country.
