DIXFIELD – Helen F. Therriault, 87, of Coburn Avenue, died peacefully in her sleep at her home on Saturday, July 15.

She was born in Chisholm on Oct. 23, 1918, a daughter of George and Mary (Lacko) Fabian. Helen was a graduate of Jay High School Class of 1936.

She was employed for 14 years as a clerk for the Department of Transportation.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s in Dixfield.

Helen enjoyed golfing, playing bridge and bingo, and spending time with her family at their camp in Harpswell. She always looked forward to the many visits by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, Leon G. Therriault Jr. and wife, Theresa, of Mexico, Richard G. Therriault and wife, Ann, of Norridgewock, and Thomas R. Therriault and wife, Bonita, of Dixfield; a daughter, Linda Dunlay and husband, Thomas, of Dixfield; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 68 years, Leon G. Therriault Sr. in March 2005; and three sisters, Mary Rodzen, Elizabeth Grant and Ann Pomeroy; and a grandson, Rick Dunlay.
