RAYMOND – Alan Forrest Flanders, 57, of Norway, died July 17.
He was born in Norway on May 26, 1949, the son of Charles and Mary McAlister Flanders. He graduated from Oxford Hills High School and completed several trade classes.
He was an electrician and part-owner of ADS Electric in Norway.
He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of the Norway Fire Department. He enjoyed yardwork, tending to his flowers and walking. He loved his cat Misty, motorcycle rides in the country, lawn sales and shopping at Home Depot and Lowe’s. He also did research on his family’s geneology.
He is survived by his father, Charles of Stoneham; two sons, Chris of South Paris and Chad of Connecticut; two brothers, Leslie Flanders and his wife, Carol, and Wayne Flanders, all of Norway; his companion, Rachel Sylvester of Sabattus; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and friends and business partners, Dennis and Christine Yates of Norway.
He was predeceased by his mother, Mary.
