AUBURN – Adam Lutz and three relievers combined for a one-hitter to lead Auburn Suburban to the District 5 Senior Little League title with a 9-1 triumph over Elliot of Lewiston.

Lutz led the offense with three hits, including a double and triple. Josh Mains added a triple and three RBIs, while Mike Muise, Billy Brewster, Alex Janelle and Devin Flynn each hit doubles.

Flynn, Muise and Corey LaRue followed Lutz on the mound.

Alex Brochu had the lone hit for Elliot, an RBI double in the fifth that scored Dylan Labonte. Pitcher Chuckie Faletra pitched well for four innings, but was hurt by defensive miscues. Elliot committed five errors.

Auburn Suburban advances to the state tournament at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, which begins next week.
