AUBURN – Barbara Ann Baez, 54, passed away July 19, at the Hospice House, surrounded by family and friends, after a brief illness.

She was born on Nov. 21, 1952, in Portland, the daughter of Joseph McLeod and Charlotte Smith McLeod.

Barbara Ann served as an “adoptive” mom, sister or gram to many, for which they will be forever grateful.

She is survived by her children, Charlotte Ward and lifelong partner, Carlos Baez, Vinson Mangos, Roxanna Mangos, Judy “Ne-Na” Gomez, and Taanya Baez; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her father, Joseph and his wife, Jean McLeod, of Naples; brothers, Joseph McLeod, Victor McLeod, Ronald Muldowney and Thomas Muldowney; and sisters, Laurie Jedrzynski, Taanya Pillsbury, Alice Oneal, Bonnie Small, Joan Connolly and Dianna Cervantes.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was a loyal friend to many, including Dianne Guy, Penny Hudson, Mary Colby, Donna Roberts and Alice Whirley, to name a few.

She was predeceased by her mother, Charlotte McLeod; brothers, Dicky McLeod and Wayne McLeod; and sister, Colleen McLeod.
