LEWISTON – Steven W. Dayken, 51, a resident of Camaro Drive, Leeds, died unexpectedly Monday, July 17, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
He was born in Augusta on Sept. 18, 1954, the son of Harland W. and Marjorie E. Owens Dayken. Steve attended school in Monmouth and was a graduate of Monmouth Academy.
He worked as a truck driver for Roy’s Construction and DeCoster Egg Farms. Steve liked going to Moosehead Lake, where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and snowmobiling.
He was a member of the S.A.L., Sons of American Legion.
He is survived by his former wife and companion, Lorrie Morris of Leeds; a son, Nathan Dayken of West Gardiner; a brother, Rodney Dayken of Winthrop; three sisters, Sandra Sawyer and her husband, Jeff, of Leeds, Carol Roux and her husband, Richard, of Alabama, and Sheila Durisko and her husband, Matt, of Lisbon Falls; a granddaughter; and also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
