LEWISTON – Edgar Clinton Casson, 87, beloved son, brother, husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Lewiston on Wednesday, July 19.
Born in Lewiston on Feb. 1, 1919, he was the son of Beecher and Elmire Therrien Casson.
He was educated in the Lewiston school system and served in the Army National Guard during World War II.
On June 29, 1946, he married the former Mary Ann Huff. He was employed as a cutter in the local shoe industry, at MarVac Photo, and retired from the Lewiston Housing Authority in 1986. He and his wife raised three daughters; Laurie, Linda, and Pat.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Casson, of Lewiston; three daughters, Laurie Dexter of Thorton, Colo., Linda Deeble and her husband, Art, of Tamaqua, Penn., and Patricia Casson of Lewiston; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Alberta Casavant of Lewiston, Clarice Tapley of Lewiston, Barbara Bubier of Greene, Alice Merrill of North Turner, and Althea Thomas of Massachusetts.
He was predeceased by a brother, Beecher C. Casson Jr.; and two sisters, Lillian Marcoux and Lois Casavant.
