FARMINGTON – Lots of kittens have been arriving at the Franklin County Animal Shelter so this week’s pet of the week is a special one – all the kittens.

The shelter has orange ones, tiger ones, gray ones and black ones. They jump about and chase each others’ tails and occasionally fly. They often climb into boxes, hide from unsuspected victims, pounce on them and run away.

Most have grown up from little babies to 14-week-old kittens starved for affection. Anyone looking for a kitten is invited to stop at the shelter. For more information on adoption, call 778-2638.

The recent kitten shower was a success. The “Flavor of the Month” cats for adoption is “Cookies and Cream.” Cost for adopting those cats is $35.

New dogs at the shelter include a male beagle mix from Wilton, male black Lab mix from Chesterville, male papillion mix from Farmington and male terrier mix from Jay.
