FARMINGTON – Laura M. Windle, 89, a resident of Franklin Road in Jay, died Thursday, July 20, at Sandy River Nursing Home.

She was born on Jan. 7, 1917 in Greene, the youngest of five children born to John L. and Laura May (Drown) Kenney and attended the schools of East Waterford.

On July 6, 1944, she married Donald F. Windle at the Court Street Church in Auburn. Mr. Windle passed away on Aug. 22, 1998.

She and her husband had owned and operated a flooring and maintenance company for many years.

She was a member of the Court Street Baptist Church in Auburn.

In her spare time, she enjoyed puzzles, crafts, knitting, crocheting and chair caning.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruby Cantrell and her husband, John, of Trenton, Fla.; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
