FREEPORT – Norrine Berry, 81, of Boothby Road, Livermore, formerly of Cape Elizabeth, died Wednesday, July 19, at a Freeport nursing home.

She was born in Mechanic Falls on Jan. 24, 1925, a daughter of Percival and Atosa G. Perkins Babcock. As a child she lived in many towns throughout Maine and settled in Cape Elizabeth, where she raised her family.

She loved being a homemaker. Neighborhood children often gathered at her home, where she provided cookies and organized trips to the beach. She enjoyed cooking and was a member of the garden club.

She is survived by a daughter, Deanna Lawson of Livermore; five sons, Russell Parker of Bethel, Bruce Berry of Bangor, Robert and his wife, Charlotte Parker, of South Paris, Eric and his wife, Lynley Berry of San Diego, Calif., and Lawrence Berry of Billings, Mont.; a sister, Beatrice Glover of Hebron; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth and Virginia.
