turner – The Turner Center for the Arts is asking New England artists to submit entries for its ninth exhibit, “Breaking the mold, another look at landscapes.”

It will be an open, juried exhibit. Submit work that demonstrates a creative approach, execution, choice of subject and/or use of medium.

Mediums sought include watercolor, oil, pastel, charcoal, acrylic, and mixed media. Paintings, drawings and sculpture will be accepted, but no photography.

Work should be hand-delivered between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 11 and 12, to the Turner Center for the Arts, Leavitt Institute Building. 98 Matthews Way, Turner Center, Maine, right off Route 117.

Artists will be notified of the jurors’ decisions Aug. 18. An artist’s reception will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10.

The exhibit will hang in the main galleries at the center until Sept. 30. Jury fee is $20 per artist ($10 for members) with a limit of four works for consideration.
