LEWISTON – Eunice P. Prescott, 78, a resident of Sabattus Road, Sabattus, died early Friday morning, July 21, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where she had been a patient for one day.

She was born on Oct. 25, 1927, in Wales, the daughter of Clyde and Bernice (Shorey) Palmer. Eunice went to school in Wales and attended Lewiston High School.

On May 16, 1959, she married George A. Prescott in Wales. He passed away on Aug. 7, 1989.

Eunice worked as a shoe shop worker, and also at the Bates Mill in Lewiston.

She was a member of the Wales Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon of the church. She worked with the youth group at the church, and was also a lifetime member of the Wales Grange, receiving her 55-year seal.

She is survived by her sisters, Marjorie Prince and her husband, Charles, of Sabattus, Mary Miller of Wales, and Florence Butler of Fawnskin, Calif.; and also several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Leo Palmer and Burton Palmer.
