WATERFORD – Two days of horseshoe pitching are scheduled today and Sunday at the World’s Fair. Starting time each day is 10 a.m.
Saturday’s competition will be singles, with luck of the draw pairs on Sunday. Entry fee is $5 each day.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three players or teams.
Shockers’ opener today at Hebron Academy
HEBRON – The Central Maine Shockers will open their semipro football season at 4 p.m. today against Mill City Maulers. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Hebron Academy.
Admission is $5.

Oak Hill parents’ meeting on August 1
WALES – All parents whose children intend to play a fall sport at Oak Hill High School are encouraged to attend a pre-season meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1.
The meeting will be held outdoors on the football field behind the high school.
