Dear Sun Spots: Great column Never miss it.

A few questions:

Why did Russell Stover candies stop making their pectin jellies? Not the jelly beans.

Also, I was watching Channel 10, I think and they had on some oriental people who played all kinds of drums and never missed a beat when they played together. Could you please find out the name of the group and if they have any CDs for sale? They were great.

In addition, I am looking for a band leader by the name of John Lars and where could I also get a CD of that also?

Your column is so great and a great thank-you to all your research people for doing such a good job of finding information. Thanks again. – Betty A., No Town.

Answer: According to the Russell Stover Web site, www.russellstover.com, it still does carry the pectin jellies. Contact the customer service department at (800) 777-4028. They are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central time.

Regarding your second question, unfortunately you did not provide enough information for Sun Spots or Maine Public Broadcasting audience services department to research. If you could please provide more specifics, they may be able to locate the program you are referring to. To contact MPBS, call their audience services department at 783-9101, ext. 5300.

And, regarding your final question Sun Spots has not located any band leader of this name and wonders if you can please provide any other information to assist with the search. Again there was just not enough information for her to locate anything.

Dear Sun Spots: Thank you for you information regarding walnut butter. You were very prompt, and I appreciate your help.

However, you did not answer my request for an address for the crafters of the daily crossword puzzle that appears in the Sun Journal. Is it possible for you to please give this to me? – E.L., No Town.

Answer: Sun Spots was awaiting a response on the second part of your request, and did not want to hold the remainder of your inquiry. Regarding the puzzle, contact The New York Times Syndication Sales Corp., 609 Greenwich St., 6th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10014-3610, or by phone at (212) 499-3583.

Dear Sun Spots: In response to the inquiry in Wednesday’s Sun Spots column, regarding someone who refinishes hardwood flooring, I’d like to add Satin Woods of Norway to the list. Doug Kilgore, also a one-man operation may be reached at 527-2532. A guesstimate can be given over the telephone, but a follow-up in person visit would be needed for an accurate free estimate. Depending on the location the job could possibly be scheduled for late August or early September. Satin Woods services south, central and western Maine and parts of New Hampshire. Thanks so much for including this! – Doug Kilgore, Satin Woods, Norway.
