LEWISTON – Robert and Dorothy LeCompte, formerly of Lewiston and currently residing in Jupiter, Fla., recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary by taking a long-awaited trip to France.
Robert (SDHS Class of ‘53) and Dorothy (LHS Class of ‘55) married in 1956 at St Mary’s Catholic Church and raised two children in Lewiston, daughter, Linda Ozawa of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and son, Brian LeCompte of Montreal, Quebec. Linda and husband, Mark Ozawa of Torrance, Calif., are proud parents of two daughters, Katherine and Sara.
The LeComptes owned and operated Robert’s Card Center on Sabattus Street from 1963 to 1982, before relocating to South Florida, where they both began new careers in real estate. Their son Brian, a linguistics major at Université Laval in Quebec City, joined them on the trip as driver and tour guide.
