ELLSWORTH – Mariah Mosher singled and eventually scored on a passed ball in the fourth inning for the go-ahead run to lead Auburn Suburban to a 5-2 victory over Calais on Sunday in the 11-12 state little league softball tournament.
Amanda Turcotte led the offense with two doubles and a single, and ddrove in four runs. Kayla Nadeau and Mosher both had hits and scored a run. ASLL put the game away when Turcotte knocked in two insurance runs in the fifth.
Emily Grund picked up the victory for Auburn, striking out six.
Auburn Suburban (2-2) will face Rockland today at 1:30 p.m. in the round robin tourney.
