FARMINGTON – Ruth Curran Williamson, 95, of Kingfield, passed away on Saturday, July 22, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born on May 2, 1911, in Richmond, the daughter of Harry B. and Francis (Gilbert) Curran. She graduated from Richmond High School.

She was married to the late Dana L. Williamson on June 15, 1935.

Ruth was a member of the Electa Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Richmond, the Kingfield Senior Citizens, the Kingtown Literary Club, the Kingfield Senior Extension and was a corporator and trustee of the Webster Library in Kingfield. She enjoyed family, reading, wild flowers, birds and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by two daughters, Anne Williamson of Cambridge, Mass., and Janet Hewett of Machias; three sons, James Williamson of Kingfield, David Williamson and his wife, Olivia, of Woolwich, and Terrence Williamson and his wife, Pamela, of Hampden; five grandchildren, Michael Williamson, Jennifer Maconochie and her husband, James, Dianne Strait and her husband, Shannon, and Andrew and Sarah Hewett; five great-grandchildren, David and Brennen Strait, Ethan and Henry Maconochie and Anna-Maire Staples; a sister-in-law, Irene Curran; and much-loved nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Dana L. Williamson; three brothers, Terrence, Harry and Gordon; and a son-in-law, John Hewett.
